My first attempt at raised lettering. I got to a certain point and a fellow carver suggested making a hole all the way through the O, thanks Gisella. One of the benefits of working around other people. I had noticed that the G and T are equal and opposite from the beginning and end of the alphabet and H and S too, cancelling each other out, leaving the O. (I began looking at letters on occasion like this in 2003. I had seen on a wall in a school class in either The Simpsons or South Park the alphabet going one way and, underneath, the alphabet going the other way and this sparked my curiosity.) I plan on painting this piece... Watch this space!
