Handdrawn and carved raised lettering. I was researching for ideas for a new piece and was looking in a book about the alphabet. At the back was a list of definitions of words used to described letters and I came across the word Bow which is the word used to describe the curved part of a letter. However, on my first lettering course I heard my tutor say Bowl so there I had my starting point. When I asked for a saying that contains the word bowl, Charlotte said the phrase of the piece and not having heard it or at least registered hearing it before I knew I had come across my next set of words to carve! Thank you, Charlotte. And Thank you Cathy for suggesting I go out of my comfort zone of V-cut lettering!
