This might be Carrara marble but it might not be. It will remain a mystery! Once again, handdrawn lettering based on Trajan. This is an imperfect piece - the carving is imperfect, also the design. What I found most satisfying about this piece was discovering after I'd started the now-easily-seen ALWAYS in the words and how that links to the concept of IMMORTALITY. When I discovered this I wondered if I had seen it subconsciously. I would like to do a pair of carvings: the one saying how stone is an immortal medium; and the other saying that even stone can be destroyed.
